Paula Isolina Hierro (Iso) Obituary

Las Vegas, Nevada - Paula Hierro, 88, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Born in Havana, Cuba, on July 17, 1937, Paula lived a life filled with love, laughter, family, and joy.

Paula will always be remembered for her elegance, vibrant spirit, and beautiful smile. Her beauty, both inside and out was always present in how she treated others and in rarely being seen without her beloved lipstick. Paula loved music, dancing, singing, celebrating with family and friends and drinking wine while preparing delicious homemade Cuban dishes made with love. Whether sharing stories around the table or visiting family in Worthington, Ohio, Paula embraced life with warmth, humor, and enthusiasm.

Paula was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Miguel Hierro; her sisters, Blanca Casas and Margarita Ojeda; and her brothers, Ilde Ojeda and Celio Ojeda. Affectionately known to her grandchildren as "Little Nana," Paula stood proudly at 4 feet 8 inches tall but possessed a larger-than-life presence. Paula is survived by her children, Miguel Hierro (Cheryl), Maggie Hierro, and Elizabeth DeLacy (Tom); her sister, Teresa Ojeda; her grandchildren, Erik Klosek (Kate), Kara Locsin (Roel), Trisha Hierro (Brandon), Spencer DeLacy and Lindsey Grant (Alex); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Kyle, Logan, Dylan, and Kelsey.

Paula's family and friends will forever remember her grace, strength, sense of fun, and the love she shared so generously. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
