Las Vegas, Nevada - It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Richard Michael Gonzales on October 11, 2025. Richard was born July 28th, 1949 to Richard "Riggie" and Dolores Gonzales. He was raised in Torrance, California. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest Son, Richie. He attended North Torrance High School before moving to Las Vegas to attend Nevada Southern, now known as UNLV, on a baseball scholarship. Richard later worked for the Las Vegas Sheriff's Department and then the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department after they merged. He subsequently became a partner in several successful bars/taverns and casinos. With a tremendous mindset of love and grace, Richard built a reputation that was known and loved by everyone who met him. He had a kind and generous soul that touched generations of families. He was a loving and doting husband to Denise, with whom he shared a beautiful 43 years of his life. They had 2 children, daughter Kristin Rowe and son Jeffrey. Kristin and her husband, Jeff Rowe, gave Richard his first two grandsons, Asher and Brixton. Richard was also blessed to know his next grandson was on the way.
