RODRICK RAY WENTLING

Rodrick Ray Wentling, 47, a resident of Henderson, passed away on May 2, 2026, at the emergency room at Cadence.

He was born on November 4, 1978, in Oxnard, California to Merle Dana Wentling and Susan Wentling. In 1986, he became the stepson of Steven Renteria. His siblings are Cory, Rhonda, and Lorraine.

Rodrick met the love of his life, Grace Wentling, in 1998 in Port Hueneme, and from that moment on, they were inseparable. In 2007, he welcomed his son, Logan Wentling, into the world—one of his greatest joys. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family.

He graduated from Rio Mesa High School in 1997. Rodrick dedicated many years of his career to the company Prevent-A-Theft and later worked as an Account Manager for Protective Life.

Rodrick was known for his sense of humor and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He cherished spending time with Grace and Logan, enjoying trivia games, playing The Legend of Zelda, visiting the lake, barbecuing, and sharing his love for Star Wars and Marvel movies. His laughter and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Grace, and his son, Logan—his two best friends and the center of his world.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 23, 2026, at Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery.
