Las Vegas, Nevada - Sally was born in Columbus, Ohio and lived there until she was 11 years old. She was always proud to tell anyone that she grew up on a farm. That farmgirl spirit carried through many aspects of her life. Once leaving the farm, her family spent a large chunk of time in Tucson, Arizona; she finished out high school there, and got married, before moving to Pomona, California, then onto Washington state, before settling in Las Vegas in 1969. She resided in Las Vegas for the remainder of her life.
Sally was full of life and loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing games, sharing stories, and was always up for a great laugh ... And what a great laugh she had! She had wonderful grandkids that she loved dearly, who made her life complete. Being a dog mom was also something she took great joy in. Sally had a big heart, and would do anything to help you out. In her younger years, she enjoyed country dancing and could really cut a rug. Having been retired for 16 years, she was able to spend quality time with family and friends. She also had the time to travel and took some truly memorable trips. To know Sally was to love her, and she was loved by many.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Wayne Belknap; brother Sam (Jacki); lifelong friend Joe. She is survived by her son John, daughter-in-law Dee, and granddaughter Trinette; daughter Leah, son-in-law Brent, and grandkids Josie and Devin; sister Peggy (Bruce); brother Mike (Gemma); along with a number of nieces and nephews.
