Las Vegas, NV - Sandra (Sandy) Lea Garrett, a native of Las Vegas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 18th, 2025. She was 78.

Sandy was born on October 23, 1946 to Jess E. and Mary E. Meyers. She went to school in Las Vegas, and had a very good group of friends that she grew up and stayed in contact with. Sandy was enamored of animals and had many pets and a pony as a kid. Sandy graduated from Western High School in 1965, and in 1967 she married Raymond Wilhite. They had two children: a daughter, Christian, and then a son named Allen.

The couple divorced in 1975, and Sandy moved back to Las Vegas where she worked as an Activities Director for a nursing home and later joined the Teamsters Union and worked as a hotel operator at the Marina Hotel and Casino. Before retiring, Sandy worked at the Las Vegas Hilton in the Parts Lockup of the Engineering Department.

Sandy liked to travel and after she retired, she went RVing with her second husband, Mark, whom she married in 1995. She liked to attend yard sales, go antique hunting, and spend time with her family. In her free time, Sandy enjoyed Bible Study with a wonderful group of friends, and was always willing to volunteer and help her neighborhood during their yearly yard sales. At the two churches she attended, Canyon Ridge and Fervent, she loved volunteering and helping to spread the gospel. Along with volunteering, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dog Bubbles.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Gladys Meyers (1986), her father Jess (1995), her mother Mary (2006), and her husband, Mark (2011). She is survived by her brother, Jess Meyers; her daughter, Chris (Jesus) Madrid; her son Allen (Debbie) Wilhite; her grandchildren, Jessie, CJ, Zachary, and Meghan; and her great- granddaughters, Kylie and Sabrina, along with her dog, Bubbles.

Her remains will be interred with her husband, Mark, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
