Henderson, NV - Sandra Grace Henry (Turner), age 81, formerly of Henderson, NV, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025. She was born in Fresno, California, on August 13, 1943, and graduated from Central Union High School in 1961 where she participated in the 4-H Club and was a member of the school's band playing bassoon and bells. She also enjoyed playing the piano. In 1965 she earned her BS in nursing from California State University, Fresno. From 1975 to 2005 she served as a school nurse for the Irvine Unified School District. It was during this time she truly made a lasting impact through the compassionate care and support she extended to her students while earning the respect of her colleagues. Her dedication and commitment were commemorated when she was recognized as the "Nurse of the Year" by the Orange County School Nurses Organization in January 2001. Sandi loved animals, especially horses, puttering in her yard, spending time with her grandchildren, taking care of others, and participating in bible study. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents Nathan and Grace Turner, and her husband of 31 years, Doyle Henry. She is survived by her son, Richard (Rick) Albers and wife, Ratree; son Ronald Albers; daughter, Heidi Albers; three grandchildren, Riana Wren Albers, Nathan Dunlin Albers, and Alexandria Grace Ruffer; sister, Linda Mason; and brother-in-law, Steve Mason. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada, with Pastor Montana Saari.
