Sharon Marie Moxley Obituary

Henderson, Nevada - Sharon Marie Moxley, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, at the age of 81, in Henderson, Nevada, surrounded by her loving children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vince Moxley, with whom she shared 47 years of love and laughter. Sharon was born on July 18, 1944, in Weiser, Idaho to Clyde and Harriet Hart and was a resident of Nevada since 1989. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life. Sharon lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She was known for her youthful spirit, accepting heart, beautiful smile and easy laugh. Sharon was a dedicated homemaker and valued motherhood. She and Vince raised three children, Jeff, Van and Shauna. In 1982, Sharon began volunteer work in Sandy, Utah, and transformed this passion into a remarkable 27-year career that concluded in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2009, she retired as Director of Volunteer Services and Gift Shops for St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. Her dedication to fostering a vibrant volunteer community left a lasting impact, as she tirelessly mentored volunteers and created a welcoming environment for all. Sharon's leadership and compassion touched countless lives, strengthened hospital services and left a legacy of meaningful community engagement that continues to inspire. Sharon enjoyed golf and, even in her final days, spoke eagerly about returning to the green to putt. Shopping was one of her favorite hobbies. The rise of online shopping allowed her to enjoy this hobby even as her mobility decreased, with packages likely arriving in the coming weeks. She loved to travel with her husband and friends, collecting mementos and souvenirs from each destination, cherishing them deeply for their sentimental value. Above all, Sharon cherished the deep and enduring friendships she cultivated throughout her life, each one a testament to her warmth, generosity, and genuine care for others. She had a remarkable gift for connecting with people, forging bonds that spanned decades and distances. Sharon treasured the time spent with her friends as much as she did with her beloved family, finding joy in shared laughter and heartfelt conversations. In loving memory of Sharon, gather with friends and family, share a Diet Coke, and cherish the happy moments filled with her joyful laughter.

In addition to her husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, David Hart and her sister, Linda Jensen. She is survived by her three children: Jeff Moxley and his wife, Laura Anne Moxley, of Henderson, Nevada; Van Moxley of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Shauna Yergensen and her fiancé, Mark Trafton of Henderson, NV.
