Stephen Ray Hodges Obituary

Las Vegas, NV - Stephen Ray Hodges, born May 28, 1949 to James Milton Hodges and Mollie Yerger Hodges, died suddenly on June 10, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Steve was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor, and love and compassion for everyone he knew.

Left behind are his companion of 33 years, Carol, his sister and only remaining sibling, Ruth Ann Harper, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jack, Robert and Dick.

He graduated from Bear River High School in 1967.

Steve was an Army Medic during the Vietnam War, and received an honorable discharge. His final wish was to be interred at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. A private gathering for family will be held there at a future date.

At various times throughout his life he worked as an accountant, tax preparer, real estate salesman and appraiser, carpenter, and he developed many other useful skills which he used throughout his life.

He became a licensed physical therapy assistant in 1967, and a licensed massage therapist in 1998, which also included aromatherapy and other related modalities.

He was very customer oriented, and had great verbal and manual skills working with his massage patrons. He always put them first and they almost always came back for more treatments.

His final words were "I do not want a big deal about my passing away because I have had a great life with all of you in it. I love you all and thank you for being a big part of my life."
