THOMAS ALAN EVANS

Thomas Alan Evans, 70, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Las Vegas, NV, after a courageous seven-year battle with lung cancer. He was born on June 6, 1955, in Dodge City, KS. Tom was the son of Phillip and Rosemary Lenz. After his father's passing, his mother married Roy Evans, who adopted Tom and his sister. The family eventually settled in Utah, where Tom attended Catholic schools and graduated from Bountiful High School. He later attended Weber State University and the University of Utah. Tom married the love of his life, Ginger, on December 28, 1974. They shared 51 wonderful years together and were blessed with three children: Desiree, Anthony, and John. The family lived in California, Texas, Utah, and ultimately Las Vegas. Tom worked in several fields throughout his life and spent 25 years as a manager of Commercial Plastics & Supply Corp. in Las Vegas, contributing to the city's growth during the 1980s and 1990s. After more than 30 years in the plastics industry, he worked in building maintenance and, later, in custodial services for the Clark County School District until his retirement during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tom loved camping—especially at Zion National Park—music, playing guitar and piano, biking, cars, and serving in Scouting and religious education. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a man of deep faith. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Phil, Roy and Bill; his mother, Rosie; his brothers, Mark, Greg, and Steve; and his son, John. Tom is survived by his wife, Ginger; his children, Desiree (Don) and Anthony (Stephanie); his granddaughter, Ava; his sister, Jeanne; his brothers, Rick (Teresa) and Randy (Stephanie); and many extended family members. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Living Grace Homes, Christ the King Debt Reduction Fund, Holy Spirit Catholic Church Building Fund, or Heart of the Nation.
