Las Vegas, Nevada - Tina's Life (The very abbreviated version) LOL

Gather 'round, friends, and let us celebrate the life of a woman who was as vibrant as the city she called home, our beloved Tina Elizabeth Jacobson, affectionately known as Aunt Tina. Born in the heart of Las Vegas on September 24, 1964, Tina lived a life full of adventure, compassion, and courage. In her 60 years of life, she embraced every day with an unparalleled zest. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." And Tina, oh Tina, made us all feel loved.


Tina was a treasure in our community, a bright star in the world of education, and an indomitable spirit in the face of adversity. A dedicated teacher at Eileen Conners Elementary School and a mentor to many, her passion for nurturing young minds was evident to all. Her compassionate nature made her a favorite amongst her students, and she was often nominated for the Heart of Education Award in Nevada. Prior to dedicating her life to education, Tina was an executive at a large oil company, where she exhibited her talented and courageous nature by working her way to the top. With her three degrees, Tina was a testament to the power of perseverance and hard work.


In her spare time, Aunt Tina found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether she was diving beneath the waves, zipping around Lake Mead on a watercraft, or delving into the pages of a gripping novel, she embraced every moment with enthusiasm. Most of all, Tina cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She would have been married for 43 years this November to her high school sweetheart, Patrick, with whom she shared 45 extraordinary years.


She is survived by her loving husband, Patrick, and will be joining her father, Anthony Monda as well as her step brother, Rand Monda, in their heavenly abode. She is survived by her mother, Kathleen Clifton; sister, Karen Painter; foster brother, Brian Godwin; nieces, Payton and Mandy Godwin; great niece, (Kitty Katt) Victoria; nephew CJ, as well as many other nieces and nephews on Patrick's side of the family.


In the words of Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Let's honor Tina's memory by celebrating the love and joy she spread in our lives. Let's remember Aunt Tina as the courageous, talented, loving, and compassionate woman she was.


A celebration of life will be held at Tina and Patricks home on October 18th, 2025 starting at noon for family and friends of Tina and Patrick.
