Tony Keate Smith Obituary

Henderson, NV - Tony Keate Smith lived with a rare combination of truth and tenderness: dry humor, a big heart, and a steady presence that people leaned on. He passed away on January 10, 2026, at home in Henderson, Nevada, surrounded by his loving family. He was 68.

Tony was a devoted member of Narcotics Anonymous for 25 years, Tony was also a sponsor to many. Recovery wasn't just something he participated in, it was central to who he was. He showed up for people, listened without judgment, and helped others find their footing through consistency, accountability, and care. His impact will live on through the people he guided and the community he served.

If you knew Tony, you probably heard a joke within minutes. It was his way of offering comfort, connection, and a little light when things felt heavy. He was a storyteller, and he had a gift for turning everyday conversations into something you remembered.

Tony was preceded in death by his life partner, Pam Vis; his parents, Matthew and Sunny Smith; and his brother, John Smith. He is survived by his siblings, including Matti Smith and Randy Smith ( Robyn), as well as his nieces and nephews: Ryan Smith, Stormi, Shawnna (John), Rick and Della. Tony was dearly loved and he will be deeply missed. His legacy will live on in the people he loved, people he helped and the laughter he left behind.
