My father, William Charles Ahern, (88), of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on August 9, 2022 due to age related illness. He was born to William and Katherine Ahern on October 29, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan. He is predeceased by his daughter Jill Ahern, who passed away on December 15, 2007, and his granddaughter Amber Low, who passed away on May 20, 2020. My Dad worked at General Motors, and was a skilled carpenter in his free time. In 1972, he moved his family to Boulder City, Nevada. He followed his passion and worked for the city of Boulder City as the lead carpenter. He enjoyed boating, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife Lynne Ahern, daughter Terri Heiler, son in law Frank Heiler, brother Donald Ahern, granddaughter Tonia Harries, great grandson Willie Weeden, great grandson Jaylin Bohlin, and great granddaughter Brooklyn Lemons. A Celebration of Life will be held at Village Pub 10900 S. Eastern Ave., 89052 on Sunday August 21, from 12PM-3PM
