Willie H. Griffin ('Bill'), a proud United States Air Force veteran, beloved counselor, devoted family man, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on Friday, April 4 2025 after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.
Born in September 1945, Bill dedicated much of his early life to serving his country. A Vietnam War veteran, he served with honor and distinction in the Air Force before retiring from military life and embarking on a second career devoted to helping others. He earned his bachelor's degree in social work and went on to work as a drug and alcohol counselor in Las Vegas, Nevada—where his tough love, warmth, and wisdom touched countless lives.
Though deeply missed, Bill's spirit will live on in the hearts of all whose lives he touched through service, friendship, and his unshakable optimism.
